As per tradition, in September Apple presented its new iPhones – now it’s the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Design and Materials

There have been minor, but visually noticeable changes in the design of the 16th iPhone. The camera module’s appearance has changed. The company has made it vertical, more similar to the iPhone 11 and 12, but in a new oval island. This is how the 16th iPhone can now be visually distinguished.

Video on the iPhone 16 can be recorded in resolutions up to 4K and at 60 frames per second in Dolby Vision format.

Thanks to artificial intelligence features, video is recorded with spatial sound that suppresses noise and highlights your voice.

Screen sizes of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus remain unchanged: – 6.1 inches for the iPhone 16. – 6.7 inches for the iPhone 16 Plus.

Battery Life

The company announced an increase in battery capacity, but how much exactly is still unknown. However, the iPhone 16 should show significantly longer battery life compared to its predecessors.

Wireless charging now supports up to 25W power, and for quick charging up to 50% in 30 minutes, a 30W power adapter is required.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max

In the new 16 Pro versions, the display has been increased to 6.3″ and 6.9″, and the screen protection is provided by Ceramic Shield.

The body is now made from Grade 5 titanium, and the chassis is made from recycled aluminum. The colors have also changed slightly. As announced, Blue Titanium has been removed, and in its place, a golden Desert Titanium has appeared.

The color palette for the 16 Pro Max now looks like this:

Inside, there is the A18 Pro chip, built on a 3nm process, with new 16 neural cores, 6 GPU cores, and 6 CPU cores.

• Ray tracing is 2 times faster.

Camera

Classically for the Pro versions – equipped with 3 lenses:

• Fusion Camera with 48 MP and a focal length of 24 mm
• New ultra-wide-angle lens with 48 MP
• 5x telephoto lens with 12 MP, and now it is the same for both the Pro version and Pro Max

Thanks to the new Camera Control button, it is now possible to lock the focus on the selected object in the frame.

The speed of color reading has also been increased, and styles for photos have been updated. Now you can adjust the color hue right during shooting.

Support for 120 frames per second in 4K for video recording without loss of quality has also been announced.

With the integration of AI in the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, sound editing for videos has become possible: Audio Mix, which allows separating sound into different audio tracks that can be edited separately.

The track separation feature has also appeared in the Dictaphone.
